Field Trip: We had a wonderful time at the Sheldon Concert Hall!
Reading & Writing: We started our final unit this week. This unit is called “Buyers and Sellers.” This goes along well with our current social studies unit. We worked on understanding characters, setting and plot of a story. We talked about how characters respond to events in the story. Also, we talked about how the pictures help us better understand what we have read.
In writing, we published our penguin fact books with titles and pictures.
Math: In math we worked on partitioning rectangles into equal size squares. We used repeated addition to find out how many it took.
Social Studies: This week we continued our study of economics. We worked on what are different types of jobs in our community; we also learned about being producers when we made pizzas for our pizza shops. Next week we will start our Market Day project.
